On Tuesday, April 9, the Bloomingdale girls tennis team was supposed to play against Sickles. Unfortunately it was cancelled due to weather conditions, but that did not stop the girls from having their own. Each of them played against one of their teammates. “We were pretty good now and we really reign each other,” Caitlin Schmidt (11) said.

The girls currently have a winning streak of two games out of three. They beat Plant City on March 11th and again on April 4th. Sadly, a few of their games had been cancelled for various reasons, and the third was a forfeit.

The practice was beneficial for the girls to find out each others’ strong suits, and gain skills from a each other. “I enjoyed it so much as an outlet for my built-up stress from the school day,” Marissa Hagenbarth (11) said.

With all this practice making the team better, the district competition next week will be worth checking out.
