Captain Marvel, the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, came out on March 8th, 2019.  The titular Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, was brilliantly portrayed by actress Brie Larson. She was able to bring the comic book character to life on screen with the help of other actors and actresses like Samuel L. Jackson, who played Nick Fury. Captain Marvel ‘s character is an alien warrior who is caught in the middle of an intergalactic struggle. All throughout the movie she is trying to find herself but struggles because she is told she has to control her emotions.

Most people who went to see the film enjoyed it. “Personally, I loved it. It was very interesting to see the comic come together in to an amazing movie,” Jessica Moser (9) said. There was a lot of action and a little bit of comedy throughout the film. Goose the cat was able to continuously make the audience laugh during the movie. Although most agree the story was fine, some people thought the movie as a whole was a bit of a let-down and not exactly what they were expecting. “I found it difficult to make a bond with Captain Marvel. It was a good back story for her, but I thought it was mediocre.” said Jourdyn Lee (11).

While everybody has their own opinion, I thought the movie was amazing. Goose was my favorite because he is not at all what you’d expect for a cat. The movie had a happy ending and there was a message saying that Captain Marvel will return in Avengers: Endgame. So for those who loved the movie, they will be happy to see her return in just a few short weeks.
