For the past few weeks, the school theater has been working non-stop to write, rehearse, and perform their One-Act play to compete in the district One-Act competition. Most of the performers got to make up some moves to go along with their rolls.  Josh Santiago says, “Seeing others perform makes you better yourself and it allows you to bond with others over the experience.”

The play prepared by the Bloomingdale team was a comedy titled “The 9 Worst Break-ups of All Time.” It depicted 9 hilarious breakup circumstances between 9 wildly different couples, and served as a “what not to do” for the audience’s relationships. “My favorite act was the karaoke one because the girl broke up with him in a song.” said Natalia Haagenson.

At the district competition, the contending schools will perform their prepared One-Act in front of the judges to receive one of the top four to five superior scores. These high-scorers will then move on to the Florida State Thespian Festival. Hopefully our Bulls will be among the winners.
