This film is from 2010 and unfortunately is not widely known. In this hilarious cinematic masterpiece starring Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ellen Wong and more, Scott Pilrgim, played my Cera, must fight his girlfriend (Ramona’s) exes in order to win her over.

The opening scene includes a narration introducing the audience to our main character, Scott Pilgrim (23). Scott sits around with his band members and friends talking about his new girlfriend, Knives Chau, a 17 year old high-schooler. They are introduced to her a moment later, and the band plays her one of their songs.

These opening credits allow the audience to listen to just one of the pieces that are included in the incredible soundtrack.

Scott first sees Ramona in a dream, then at the library, and then later at a party he talks to her for the first time.

One thing about this movie is how relatable it is. In most movies, you see the popular guys smoothly flirting with an awkward book nerd, but in Scott Pilgrim vs the World one is able to see the true awkwardness of flirting between two “weirdos”.

The rest of the movie consists of fabulously choreographed fights scenes which rival even those directed by Stephen Chow.

All together Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is one of funniest films to be created and it is highly recommended that you check it out.
