Senior night is a long-held tradition meant to honor those who have pushed through the hardships of high school and made it to the other side. On October 26th, at a football pregame, the members of the football team, band, guard, and cheer were all recognized for their accomplishments within their respective groups.

The celebration began with guard and band performing their pregame song “Get Ready”. After finishing the performance, all of the seniors being represented gathered with their families at the back of the field. Walking toward the audience, one senior at a time is met by Principle Burkett and awarded with a dog tag holding the inscription “senior”, as well as a rose.

Many categories of seniors, especially sports, were honored for their achievements and given these awards. Though the seniors still have another semester to survive through, they were able to forget that for a time and indulge in a celebration of their High School careers so far. The graduating class of 2019 got a proper send-off, followed by a satisfying victory of Bloomingdale’s Varsity Football team.
